Glastonbury Pelvic Festival 2019

Debbie Dillon, Wells based pelvic health specialist physiotherapist, hosted a two-day conference for health professionals Friday-Saturday 20-21st of September.

On Friday key note speakers Michelle Lyons, Louise Field, Debbie Dillon, Yvonne Brady and Elaine Miller shared their immense knowledge around women’s pelvic health with physiotherapists, midwifes, physical trainers and Pilates teachers.

Testimonials:

“I enjoyed the great variety in the talks as a fit pro. I felt it was pitched perfectly to all of us in women’s health.”

“Hormones - Mind Blown!

Gut Health - My passion too

Psycho-sex - Fascinating”

The Friday evening saw the Red Brick Building open their doors to the general public as women young and old came to watch the Gusset Grippers, ‘Laugh don’t Leak’ show. They were treated to laugh out loud jokes and key facts around women’s pelvic health. They won’t forget their 10,10,3 mantra Elaine taught them! Daily pelvic exercises are so important for men and women and Elaine’s show is just one of her methods to educate and keep the population healthy and save the NHS so many unnecessary costs in supporting incontinent patients.

Testimonials:

“What costume! What a woman! Fantastic evening-best night out for a very long time!”

“I love comedy that delivers a message and there was no mistaking this message! 10-10-3 is permanently etched on my brain now. Still chuckling.....!”

The festival finished on Saturday with Craig Allingham, who had travelled from Australia, to run his course Nutting Out Men’s Health Physiotherapy. Craig spoke about the importance of pelvic floor exercises post prostatectomy but also about the importance of reducing lifestyle risk factors - diet, activity, stress and inflammation.
